Travels of Gerda S. /

The starting point for the approx. 70 collages are typical, small-format photographs of regional sights and landscape sections from Gerda S.’s collection, which are offered as individual pictures or leporellos in numerous holiday resorts. The photographs, most of them come from the FRG, some also from the GDR, Austria and Switzerland, are supplemented by the authentic reproduction of all captions on the reverse, including the dates of travel noted by Gerda S. in her own handwriting. The materials, structures and colouring of the backgrounds are always associatively coordinated with the motifs.
